Black Women's Ballet Flat Mules, Size 10/11 - $5

Adorable, unworn Old Navy black ballet flat mules with comfy black back-strap. Somewhere between patent leather and matte pleather. I'd call it semi-matte. Easy to dress up or dress down--perfect for the office or with a pair of jeans. I loved the look of them online but unfortunately they were too small for my freakishly large feet. Be forewarned, fellow tall women, they are size 11 but feel more like a size 10.

Take advantage of my mistake and show these cute shoes some good times.

7 Large Pond Baskets - $25

7 large (approx 8" tall) heavy-duty pond planting baskets, olive-black in color. (Closer to black than to olive.) Not visible underwater. Never used; stored in the garage for a season after we got a little over-eager at Pond Market.

These are NOT the cheap baskets you'll sometimes come across--they're meant for long-term sinking of aquatic plants. We paid over $10 per basket--you get them for a steal.

Perfect for backyard ponds and water features.

6 Medium Pond Baskets - $15

6 medium (approx 6" tall) heavy-duty pond planting baskets. Olive-black in color, but closer to black than to olive, so they blend in with the water. Never used; stored in the garage for a season after we got a little over-eager at Pond Market.

These are not the cheap baskets you might come across--they're meant for long-term sinking of aquatic plants. We paid around $10 per basket.

Perfect for backyard ponds and water features.

Squirrel Baffle Guard for Bird Feeder - $5

Defeat evil, conniving squirrels with a Perkypet Squirrel Baffle Guard. Easy install on a metal feeder pole (perfect for single shepherd's hooks or platform feeders). Won't slide over a double-shepherd's hook pole, as we learned the hard way. Prevents the rodents from climbing up the pole and stealing your songbirds' seed.

All-metal construction. Looks very easy and quick to install.

Give your birds a break and give yourself a few hours of entertainment trying to watch the little buggers climb the pole in vain.

What's This Blog All About?

Over the years we have accumulated a lot of stuff. We're tired of it. Two adults, three cats, a dog, and 5 years of "we might use this again" habits do not a spacious bungalow make. We have a collection of Rubbermaid storage containers that rivals The Container Store--and threatens to take over our lives if we don't do something about it now.

So we've decided to set up a virtual yard sale of sorts. We will list items for sale or giveaway at this blog, and possibly a few other places (Craigslist, Ebay, etc.). When you see something that catches your eye, please email me at muirne81 (at) hotmail (dot) com, and I will make sure you connect with our buried treasure!

FAQ:

Q. You have three cats and a dog. Isn't this stuff going to be dirty?

A. We're pretty meticulous people--a lot of this stuff is clean and new, and some of it is even still wrapped! We've stored most of it in covered Rubbermaid containers. We also won't be listing anything we felt wasn't worth saving. Believe me, we've jettisoned quite a bit of garbage--we're not on our garbage man's good side right now.

Q. You listed *this item* for $X. Will you take $Y?

A. Maybe. Please email me and I'll let you know if the price is flexible.

Q. Will you take a check/Paypal/money order?

A. I will take a check if I know you personally or if you can wait 14 business days for the check to clear the bank. Paypal is evil and I don't want to mess with the Death Star at this point. A money order from the US Post Office is great. Cash is even better. Please contact me if you have an alternative payment idea. Please note, unless you have a blue-water ready 46' Island Packet, I am not interested in bartering.

Q. Can you mail this stuff to me?

A. Possibly. I live and work in the St. Louis, Mo. area. Heavy items and furniture are local pickup only. Smaller items can be mailed; I will add the cost of shipping to the item price. I'm not greedy--I won't add ANY handling charges.

Q. I have a friend/relative/coworker/milkman who I think would be interested in something you've listed here. Can I forward this webpage to him/her?

A. Absolutely! The sooner I can stretch out in this house, the better! If you refer someone to this website, and they purchase something, I am happy to give you a 25% discount on a purchase yourself.

Q. This is kind of unusual. Why are you doing this online and not in your front yard?

A. Because I like my Saturday mornings. Also, I don't respond well to strangers stomping all over my flower beds, blocking my neighbors' driveways, haggling with me over 25 cents, and stealing my wares when I'm not looking.
